About this Recording
The New Orleans Jazz Club was founded in 1948 on Mardi Gras Day. Shortly thereafter, the organization began sponsoring a weekly jazz show broadcast on WWL, a local radio station located in the Roosevelt Hotel. This recording features Danny Barker playing “As Long as I Live” in 1965.
