A New York native, but longtime resident of New Orleans, Robert Tannen’s exploration of art has spanned a half-century and a wide range of disciplines and media. An urban designer by profession, Tannen’s interests in community activism, environmental preservation, formal design, industrial materials, scientific inquiry, technology, and conceptual art are interwoven throughout his prolific output of artworks, installations, exhibitions, writings, films, and publications.
