Painter and attorney Alan Gerson has achieved international recognition for his artwork, perhaps most notably as an award-winning participant in the 2000 Florence Biennial. Gerson works in a diverse array of styles. However, the conceptual thread of outsized, surrealist imagination, often coupled with a sense of visual humor or irony, runs throughout most of his collections, such as Child’s Play,Habeus Corpus, and Dinosaurs, Aliens and UFOs.
