Madewood Plantation (Unidentified)

Description: The Madewood Plantation was designed by architect Henry Howard in 1846. It was inhabited by Thomas Pugh, a sugarcane planter in Bayou Lafourche. Frances Benjamin Johnston took this picture of the house in disrepair c. 1936. It has since been restored.
